What is CrossFit?

CrossFit, in its simplest form is defined as constantly varied, functional movements, performed at a high intensity. In these movements, we practice Gymnastics, Olympic Lifts, Rowing, Running, Cycling and more! What this means is that our workouts change daily both in length & intensity. The CrossFit Contrivance family embraces every level of athlete and provides a fitness solution that’s not only fun but empowering for the entire family. The family is one, both inside and outside the “box” , WE respect and accept each other but most importantly,  encourage each other. We encourage each other to keep an open mind, try new things, not be afraid of failure and instead learn and grow from it. As a community, we’re passionate about life, family, community and our health both mentally and physically. Together we’ll break down barriers, stereotypes and doubts while staying humble. Using quantifiable results, we set out to improve our performance, perspective and health

At CrossFit Contrivance, we are not a “fitness business”, we are the front line of impactful lifestyle changes that improve mind and body. Our coaches and community will be there for your successes both in and out of the box. Here our fitness is a tool, to help build relationships and forge life long bonds among our community.  We celebrate our victories and our failures together, learning more than just fitness along the way. Embracing every Athlete where they are and striving each and every day to help them be not just better Athletes, but better people.

Our family of 5, plus Bella of course is here to welcome you and your family into our community. We’re a family run business, built out of a determination to serve other families. That’s exactly why we’ve built out our programs to make it easy for families of all sizes to train with us. We hope each member of your family will take part in and enjoy the benefits of not just an active lifestyle but an extended family. Human nature is reluctant to change, but at CrossFit Contrivance, our experienced coaches are always looking for ways to get better, so they can help you achieve your fitness goals.

CrossFit 101 Classes, because we want to give you every tool to succeed

Our 101 Classes are a great way to help make sure you get accustomed to the movements and terminology we toss around. These classes are also a great way to meet new friends, ease any anxiety about joining the class and ask questions in a 1 on 1 or small group setting. In our 101 Class we instill proper mechanics & technique, safe bail-out protocols, scaling options and asses range of motion and other factors to help you stay injury free and on the path to Virtuosity
